If you’ve been registered as living in Norway for the last three years, even if you are not a citizen, you can vote in this year’s local election. All you need is an ID with your name, date of birth and picture.

Here are a few reasons why you should vote Green:

Cheaper and better public transit

With the Oslo Green Party in charge, you don’t have to choose: we want to make the monthy travel card 40 percent cheaper, whilst simultaneously facilitating more frequent bus, tram, train and boat departures.

More green, free spaces to meet

The Green Party prioritizes playgrounds over parking lots, access to the fjord over giant cruiseships. By 2030, we want to establish 100 new, green and free spaces to meet all over Oslo.

A safer city for pedestrians and cyclists

We want to build more cycling lanes the next four years and establish more coherent paths across the city, so that all cyclists can travel safely. We also want to make our children’s walk to school safer by decreasing the speed limit and opting for car-free spaces around our primary schools.

Cheaper to share, reuse and repair

The Green Party want more and simpler ways for people to share goods and services, and we want to make options of sharing cars, electric bikes, equipment and tools more available, as well as increase people’s access to the many libraries around Oslo.

Healthier, more environmentally friendly food

We want to expand the already existing offer of free and healthy food in schools, and make the offer vegetarian.

Cheaper, greener electricity

We want to increase the financial aid to help private households, housing associations and businesses install solar cells and power saving measures.

Protecting the diverse population of Oslo

The Green Party wants to make Oslo a safer and more accessible city for all people, whether you are queer, a refugee, live with addiction, or experience disability.
